BOARD MEETING

The next board meeting will be held on Sunday July 14th - 7pm at 55 Newton St. Northboro, MA 01532 Map it

Everyone is welcome to attend! If anyone has a specific item that they would like to be discussed, then it must be emailed to the secretary, Tom van Antwerp, at nsbod@jrthawks.com at least 7 days in advance to get that item on the agenda. If Tom does not get the agenda item, it will not be discussed until the following board meeting.

JUNE/JULY EVENTS
Check out the Cheerleading Camps/Clinics page for the latest information. There are Camps/Clinics that are starting soon so you need to act fast!

AUGUST EVENTS
August 11th – First day of practice – details attached

August 21st – Annual NSPW Welcome BBQ – Free food - contests and prizes - Marlboro Fish and Game from 6:00-9:30 - Further details will be posted at a later date.

August 22nd – Car Wash Fundraiser

August 30th – Jamboree (Pre Season Game)

SEPTEMBER EVENTS
September 6th - First Game of the Season – Labor Day Weekend

September 12th - Saturday Practices begin weekly - Times TBA by Team Coach

September 13th – Walk to Cure Cancer - Worcester (if its not a home game all teams will participate)

September 19th - Cheerleading Team/Individual Pictures prior to marching in Applefest Parade

OCTOBER EVENTS
October 9th or 10th (tentative) – NSPW Pep Rally Fundraiser

October 12th – Heritage Day Parade

October 18th – Central MA Cheerleading Competition – Mass Mutual Springfield, MA

NOVEMBER EVENTS
Mitey Mites – Jake Bracani Bowl Game – Leominster – Date TBA usually 1st Sunday of Nov.

IF QUALIFIED – Nov. 8th – Regional Cheerleading Semi Finals – Mass Mutual Springfield, MA

IF QUALIFIED – November 21st – Regional Cheerleading Championships – DCU Worcester

FOOTBALL ANNOUNCEMENTS

NOTE: NSPW will not be fielding a Tiny Mite Team for 2009.

AUGUST EVENTS
August 10th - Equipment Handout - (must have completed paperwork) . Details will be posted at a later date.

August 11th - First day of practice - 5:45 – 8:00 (5:45- 7:30 for Mitey Mites) then also on 8/12 , 8/13, and 8/14. Then Weekly on M, T, W, Th for next three weeks.

August 29th - Weigh-in (no punt pass and kick) - Details will be posted at a later date.

August 30th - Jamboree - Times TBA, probably at Grafton or South County - Details will be posted at a later date.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Child Pickup:

Parents, please plan on arriving 5 - 10 minutes before practice ends. Parents should collect their children at either the practice field or the tennis courts. A Coach or assistant coach must remain with the players until they are all accounted for.

Practice Policy
Practices are on even if it rains!
If there is thunder and lightning then practices will be canceled. A decision will be posted on the web site by 5 PM.
If practice is on and the weather changes for the worst or is questionable, then parents should remain available and close by or arrange a carpool for child pick up.
If you are uncomfortable with having your child participate due to questionable weather conditions, please talk to your coach.
